The Road Ahead To The Ramble Festival 2024
Hey there Ramblers,
As the seasons change and we begin to dream of that sweet fall festival air, it's time for us to talk about the exciting road ahead for the Ramble Festival in 2024. What started as a gathering of like-minded souls has blossomed into something truly special, and it’s all because of you – the heart and soul of our Ramble community.
As we prepare to welcome y’all back to Camp Ramblewood, I’ve got some updates to share that I know will make this year the best Ramble yet.
First and foremost, our lineup continues to evolve and grow, with a renewed focus on giving more opportunities to up-and-coming local and regional artists. This year, make sure to check out Whiskey Feathers, 5 Spot, The Fitzkee Brothers, Feather + Flask, and Just Right on the Ramble Stage in the afternoons. These talented folks are the heartbeat of our festival, and we can’t wait for you to discover their music.
For those bringing the young’uns, we’ve got some great news: The Kids Kove activities have been expanded, and we’re adding even more programming to ensure that our young Ramblers have just as much fun as their parents. From crafts to games and everything in between, your little ones will be entertained and engaged all weekend long.
We’ve also made some logistical changes to make your experience even smoother. For those without an RV or Car Camping pass, we’ve introduced an off-site parking lot just 0.9 miles from the festival gate. A shuttle will be running back and forth, so you can easily get to and from the festival grounds. It’s a quick trip and a great way to meet some new folks before the fun even begins.
Now, here’s one that I know many of you have been asking about – the fence. We’ve heard your requests, and I’m thrilled to announce that the fence separating the stages area from the rest of the venue is coming down this year! The Ramble has always been about breaking down barriers and bringing folks together, and this is a physical step in that direction. With the fence gone, you’ll be free to ramble around the festival grounds as you please.
However, with this change comes a little “but” – due to Maryland alcohol control laws, outside alcohol won’t be allowed on-site. Our festival security team will be conducting reasonable searches at the festival gate to ensure everyone’s safety and compliance with the law. This means no more gates or security checkpoints once you’re inside. No additional checkpoints or bag checks once you're through the gates is gonna make it smooth as butta' to get around the Ramble this year!
To make up for this, we’re adding more bar locations, allowing you to take multiple drinks back to your camp, and expanding our alcohol offerings. Whether you’re in the mood for a local craft beer, a canned cocktail, wine, cider, or a national brand brew, we’ve got you covered with more options than ever before.
Finally, for those who can’t make it for the whole weekend, we’re excited to announce that single-day and two-day passes will be going on sale very soon! Whether you’re with us for a day, two days, or the entire weekend, we can’t wait to celebrate with you.
So mark your calendars, spread the word, and get ready for an unforgettable Ramble Festival 2024. Together, we’ll create memories that’ll last a lifetime.
